ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ
TransliterationAr-raḥmān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalThe Most Merciful
he Merciful one, possessor of vast mercy.
عَلَّمَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ
TransliterationAAallama al-qurān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalTaught the Qur'an
e taught the Qur’ān to people by making its memorization easy and facilitating the understanding of its meanings.
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
TransliterationKhalaqa alinsān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalCreated man
e created man perfectly and formed him in the best manner.
عَلَّمَهُ ٱلۡبَيَانَ
TransliterationAAallamahu al-bayān
Translation · Saheeh International[And] taught him eloquence
e taught him how to express what is within himself in speech and writing.
ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ بِحُسۡبَانٖ
TransliterationAshshamsu walqamaru biḥusbān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalThe sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation
e fixed a perfectly calculated course for the sun and moon, to teach people the number of years and calculation.
وَٱلنَّجۡمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسۡجُدَانِ
TransliterationWannajmu washshajaru yasjudān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalAnd the stars and trees prostrate
lants that do not have a stem and trees prostrate to Allah, (may He be glorified), in submission and surrender to Him.
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ
TransliterationWassamāa rafaAAahā wawaḍaAAa al-meezān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalAnd the heaven He raised and imposed the balance
e raised the sky above the earth as a roof for it. He established justice on earth and instructed His servants with it.
أَلَّا تَطۡغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡمِيزَانِ
TransliterationAllā taṭghaw fee al-meezān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalThat you not transgress within the balance
e established justice so that you, O people, are not unjust and deceitful in weighing and measurement.
وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلۡوَزۡنَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَلَا تُخۡسِرُواْ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ
TransliterationWaaqeemoo al-wazna bilqisṭi walā tukhsiroo al-meezān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalAnd establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance
aintain the weighing justly between yourselves and do not give short weight or measure when you measure or weigh for others.
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلۡأَنَامِ
TransliterationWalarḍa waḍaAAahā lilanām
Translation · Saheeh InternationalAnd the earth He laid [out] for the creatures
e prepared the earth for the creation to settle on it.
فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَٱلنَّخۡلُ ذَاتُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَامِ
TransliterationFeehā fākihatun wannakhlu thatu alakmām
Translation · Saheeh InternationalTherein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]
t contains trees that produce fruit and date-palms that have receptacles that split open to reveal clusters.
وَٱلۡحَبُّ ذُو ٱلۡعَصۡفِ وَٱلرَّيۡحَانُ
TransliterationWalḥabbu dhoo alAAaṣfi warrayhan
Translation · Saheeh InternationalAnd grain having husks and scented plants
t contains grain with straw like wheat and barley and the different types of grain that you have been provided as food. It contains plants whose fragrances you find to be pleasant.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ كَٱلۡفَخَّارِ
TransliterationKhalaqa alinsāna min ṣalsalin kalfakhkhār
Translation · Saheeh InternationalHe created man from clay like [that of] pottery
e created Adam (peace be upon him) from dried clay that has a clatter like that of baked clay.
وَخَلَقَ ٱلۡجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٖ مِّن نَّارٖ
TransliterationWakhalaqa al-jānna min mārijin min nār
Translation · Saheeh InternationalAnd He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire
e created the father of the jinn from a flame that is pure of smoke.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقَيۡنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلۡمَغۡرِبَيۡنِ
TransliterationRabbu al-mashriqayni warabbu al-maghribayn
Translation · Saheeh International[He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
مَرَجَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ يَلۡتَقِيَانِ
TransliterationMaraja al-baḥrayni yaltaqiyān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalHe released the two seas, meeting [side by side]

بَيۡنَهُمَا بَرۡزَخٞ لَّا يَبۡغِيَانِ
TransliterationBaynahumā barzakhun lā yabghiyān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalBetween them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny

يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُمَا ٱللُّؤۡلُؤُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ
TransliterationYakhruju minhumā alluluo walmarjān

وَلَهُ ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ كَٱلۡأَعۡلَٰمِ
TransliterationWalahu al-jawāri al-munshaātu fee al-baḥri kalaAAlām
Translation · Saheeh InternationalAnd to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains
e, (may He be glorified), alone has control of the ships that sail on the oceans like mountains.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
كُلُّ مَنۡ عَلَيۡهَا فَانٖ
TransliterationKullu man AAalayhā fān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalEveryone upon the earth will perish
very creation that is on the surface of the earth will inevitably perish.
وَيَبۡقَىٰ وَجۡهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ
TransliterationWayabqā wajhu rabbika dhoo al-jalāli walikrām
Translation · Saheeh InternationalAnd there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor
he face of your Lord, O Messenger, the One of greatness, kindness and bounty for His servants, will remain and will never perish.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
يَسۡـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ كُلَّ يَوۡمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأۡنٖ
TransliterationYasaluhu man fee as-samāwāti walarḍi kulla yawmin huwa fee shan
Translation · Saheeh InternationalWhoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is bringing about a matter
he angels in the heavens and the jinn and men on earth ask Him for their needs. Every day he brings about a matter from the affairs of His servants such as giving life, death, provision etc.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
سَنَفۡرُغُ لَكُمۡ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
TransliterationSanafrughu lakum ay-yuhā aththaqalān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalWe will attend to you, O prominent beings
will attend to your reckoning, O men and jinn. and I will recompense each one with the reward or punishment he deserves.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
يَٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ أَن تَنفُذُواْ مِنۡ أَقۡطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنفُذُواْۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ
TransliterationYā maAAshara al-jinni walinsi ini istaṭaAAtum an tanfudhoo min aqtari as-samāwāti walarḍi fanfudhoo lā tanfudhoona illā bisultan
Translation · Saheeh InternationalO company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allah]
llah will say on the Day of Judgment, when He gathers jinn and men: O group of jinn and men, if you are able to find for yourselves an exit from one part of the heavens and earth then do so. You will never be able to do so except with power and evidence, and where do you have that?
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered to kill dogs, and he sent (men) to the corners of Medina that they should be killed.

Translation · Saheeh InternationalThere will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselves
flame of smokeless fire will be sent on you, O men and jinn, and smoke without a flame, and you will not be able to protect yourselves.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ وَرۡدَةٗ كَٱلدِّهَانِ
TransliterationFaitha inshaqqati as-samāo fakānat wardatan kaddihān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalAnd when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil
hen the sky will split open for the angels to descend from it and it will be red like molten lead or the like due to the terror of the day of judgment.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّا يُسۡـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٞ وَلَا جَآنّٞ
TransliterationFayawmaidhin lā yusalu AAan dhanbihi insun walā jān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalThen on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn
n that great day no man or jinn will be asked about their sins, because Allah knows their deeds.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
يُعۡرَفُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمۡ فَيُؤۡخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِي وَٱلۡأَقۡدَامِ
TransliterationYuAArafu al-mujrimoona biseemāhum fayukhadhu binnawasee walaqdām
Translation · Saheeh InternationalThe criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet
he guilty ones will be recognised on that day by their mark, which is the blackness of their faces and the blueness of their eyes. Their forelocks will be tied to their feet and they will be thrown into Hell.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
TransliterationHathihi jahannamu allatee yukaththibu bihā al-mujrimoon
Translation · Saheeh InternationalThis is Hell, which the criminals deny
t will be said to them in rebuke: This is the Hell that the guilty ones used to reject in the world, which is before their eyes and which they are unable to deny.
يَطُوفُونَ بَيۡنَهَا وَبَيۡنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٖ
TransliterationYaṭoofoona baynahā wabayna ḥameemin ān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalThey will go around between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree]
hey will go between it and water that is extremely hot.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
وَلِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ
TransliterationWaliman khāfa maqāma rabbihi jannatān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalBut for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardens
hose who fear to stand before their Lord in the Hereafter, and therefore have faith and do righteous deeds, will have two gardens.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
ذَوَاتَآ أَفۡنَانٖ
Transliterationdhawātā afnān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalHaving [spreading] branches
hese two gardens will have huge fresh branches producing fruit.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ تَجۡرِيَانِ
TransliterationFeehimā AAaynāni tajriyān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalIn both of them are two springs, flowing
n the two gardens there will be two springs flowing between them with water.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٖ زَوۡجَانِ
TransliterationFeehimā min kulli fākihatin zawjān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalIn both of them are of every fruit, two kinds
n them there will be two types of every fruit to enjoy.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشِۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنۡ إِسۡتَبۡرَقٖۚ وَجَنَى ٱلۡجَنَّتَيۡنِ دَانٖ
TransliterationMuttakieena AAalā furushin batainuhā min istabraqin wajanā al-jannatayni dān
Translation · Saheeh International[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low
eclining on spreads, whose inner lining will be of coarse silk, and the fruits that they will reap from the two gardens will be close and within reach of a person standing, sitting or reclining.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
TransliterationFabiayyi ālāi rabbikumā tukaththibān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalSo which of the favors of your Lord would you deny
hich of Allah’s numerous favours to you, O group of Jinn and men, do you deny?
فِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسٞ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنّٞ
TransliterationFeehinna qasirātu at-tarfi lam yaṭmithhunna insun qablahum walā jān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalIn them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni
n them there will be women who will restrict their gaze to their husbands, whose virginity was not broken by any man or jinn before their husbands.

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

مُدۡهَآمَّتَانِ

فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ
TransliterationFeehimā AAaynāni naddakhatān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalIn both of them are two springs, spouting
n these two gardens there are springs that forcefully gush forth with water. The gushing of their water does not stop.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

فِيهِمَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَنَخۡلٞ وَرُمَّانٞ
TransliterationFeehimā fākihatun wanakhlun warummān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalIn both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates
n these two gardens there are abundant fruit, huge date-palms and pomegranates.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

فِيهِنَّ خَيۡرَٰتٌ حِسَانٞ
TransliterationFeehinna khayrātun ḥisān
Translation · Saheeh InternationalIn them are good and beautiful women
n these four gardens there are women with good characters and beautiful faces.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

حُورٞ مَّقۡصُورَٰتٞ فِي ٱلۡخِيَامِ

تَبَٰرَكَ ٱسۡمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ
TransliterationTabāraka ismu rabbika dhee al-jalāli walikrām
Translation · Saheeh InternationalBlessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor
